Samuel Bennett “Sammy” Macomson, 73, if Carnesville, passed away Thursday morning July 13, 2017 at the Brown Health and Rehab Center, Royston, GA.
Born December 3, 1943, in Carnesville, he was the son of the late D. W. and Ellise Bennett Macomson. He was retired from Westinghouse of Athens. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Shirley Woods Macomson; three sons, Brian Macomson, Dion Macomson, and Eric Macomson, all of Augusta, Ga; step-children, Jeff Moore of Philadelphia, and Amy Moore of Atlanta; one grandchild; and brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Wanda Macomson, Carnesville, GA.
A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon, July 22nd at the B D Ginn Memorial Chapel at 2pm. The family will receive friends from 1pm Saturday until the funeral hour. The family request that flowers be optional and memorials be made to Liberty Baptist Church, Carnesville, Georgia 30521, 6077 Hwy 145, Carnesville, Georgia 30521.
