Sara Purcell

Sara Jo Purcell, age 81, of Land O Lakes, Florida went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Sara was born May 19, 1940 in Lavonia, GA to the late Henry and Jo Evelyn McGahee.  She married Morris D. Purcell July 24, 1960.  Sara was passionate about sharing the love of our Jesus with others and spent many hours dedicating herself to children’s ministry.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  Sara enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, traveling and reading.  Now that Sara has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Sara’s physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her.  Sara joins her parents and her grandson, Daniel in heaven.  Cherishing her memory are her husband of 61 years, Morris.  Two sons Chip , and Matt.  Four grandchildren Jacquelin Wester , Matthew Purcell, Jacob Purcell, and Zachary Purcell.  Three great-grandchildren Jackson and Micah Wester, and Athena Purcell, and many, many friends.  The funeral will take place in Georgia at Ginn Funeral Home, 90 Church Street, Carnesville, GA on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with family visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., and a celebration of her life will be in Florida at Creekside Church, 311 Newberger Rd., Lutz, Florida on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
