Shirley Little

Shirley Ann Little, 88, of Carnesville, passed away Thursday evening, July 13, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born January 25, 1935, in Shady Dale, GA, she was the daughter of the late Tinsley Detrick and Lurlene Rogers Kemp. She was the widow of the late William Neal “Bill” Little, and the sister of the late Francis Orr and Robert Kemp. She was a graduate of Georgia State College, a Home Economist for Georgia Power and bookkeeper for H. N. Littles Store in Carnesville. She was a longtime member of Carnesville Woman’s Club. She was a member of Carnesville Baptist Church and also attended Cross Roads Baptist.

She is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Harris and Mary Little, Carnesville, Dettrick Little, Atlanta, and Taylor Little, Carnesville; grandchildren, Neal Little, of Summerville, SC, Sara Little, of Savannah, Clint Little and Robert Little, both of Carnesville; nephew, Brandon Greene, Weaverville, NC.

The family will gather for private graveside services, and will receive friends Sunday afternoon, July 16, 2023, from 3pm until 6pm at Carnesville Community Center.
