Tom Cowart

James Thomas "Tom" Cowart Jr., 65 of the Red Hill Community, passed away Saturday afternoon, November 21, 2020 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Born February 2, 1955, Atlanta, GA, he was the son of James Thomas "Jim" Cowart, Sr. and the late Juanita Price Cowart.  He was the brother of the late Michael Cowart.  He was a retired police officer with the City of Atlanta.  He owned and operated Cowart's Tree Removal. He was a member of Allens United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Cavender Cowart; father Jim Cowart, Mableton, GA; sons, Jim Cowart, Douglasville, GA, and Clint Cowart, Eastanollee; daughter and son-in-law Kristie and Michael Dean, Conyers, GA; ten grandchildren, Austin, Jaxon, Madison, Mason, Ava, Riley, Sadie, Kenzie, Alan, and Jacob; brother Alan Cowart, Mableton, GA.

Memorial services will 12 noon Saturday, December 5, 2020, with Rev. Paul Garner, at Allens United Methodist Church Life Center. In lieu of flowers those wishing to please make memorials to the Leukemia Research Foundation,
