Vernon Lingerfelt

Vernon Lingerfelt, 67, passed away on February 1, 2024, in Oglethorpe County GA.

Vernon Lingerfelt was born on April 7, 1956 in Cumming, GA, to Henry & Mamie Inez Twiggs Lingerfelt. He was a career truck driver. Vernon married Faye Lingerfelt on September 8, 1973 in Walhalla SC. The couple had 2 children, Shane Lingerfelt & Jessica Lewis. Vernon was best known for being an avid outdoorsman. Having a passion for deer and rabbit hunting and shooting.

Vernon is survived by his wife of 50 years Faye Lingerfelt of Carnesville, son Shane and Lori of Carnesville, Daughter Jessica and Mitchell Lewis of Canon, Grandchildren    Brantley and Elisabeth Lingerfelt, Dylan and Jordan Lingerfelt, Trevor and Laura Lingerfelt, Brookely Lewis, Michelle Lewis. Great-Grandchildren Waylon Lingerfelt, Harley Lingerfelt, Lincoln Lingerfelt, Branson Lingerfelt, Mordecai Lingerfelt. Siblings Kathy Parker of Commerce, Laura Sears of Clearmont and Joyce Banister of New port Richey Florida.   

Vernon is preceded in death by his parents Henry Ford Lingerfelt and Mamie Odum. His siblings Marcus Lingerfelt, Robert Lingerfelt, James Lingerfelt, Louise Purcell, and Edith Summerour.

The funeral service for Mr. Vernon Lingerfelt will be held on Sunday, at 3:00 PM at Ginn Funeral Home, with grave side services held at Carey memorial following the service. The visitation we be held on Saturday, at 4:00 PM till 8:00pm at Ginn Funeral Home.
