Barbara Elizabeth Carey, 59, of Hartwell, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 10, 2022, at Landmark Hospital, in Athens, Georgia.

Born August 20, 1962, in Royston, Georgia, she was the daughter of Kathleen Thomas Hyde the late Charles Edwin Hyde. She was retired and had worked at TNS Mills. She was of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Candace and Lee Hammock, Royston, mother, Kathleen Thomas Hyde; three grandchildren, Brady, Kelsey, and Dawson; great-grandson, Tucker; sister, Kim Carey, and brother Edwin Hyde.

Graveside services will be 11am Wednesday morning at Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery, with Rev. Leon Carson.
